fifth-eighth amendment

Witness They have the right to a lawyer and to witnesses in their defense.

Indict They can not be tried twice for the same crime.

Testify They can not not be forced to testify against themselves.

Grand Jury The are entitled the due process of law.
Due Process
Only a grand jury can indict (charge) someone with a capital crime (a crime punishable by death).

Capital Punishment They must be told of the charges against them.

Excessive They cannot be subjected to excessive bail or fines, nor to any cruel or unusual punishment

Bail They have the right to a speedy trial before a jury of their peers, or equal

Peer They are entitled to due proces

Do you believe that people accused of crimes deserve all of these rights or just some of them? Why or why not? If they are caught doing this and it is is something like robing a bank then no but if they are like a cereal killer then they should get consequence. But the consequences are going to be less harsh for the person who robed the bank because he did not hurt anyone. But the person that is a cereal killer will get more consequences because he did harm people and they do have evidence of him harrming them. They will have evidence of the bank guy but that is all.
